Review of Naked Wines 2023: The $100 voucher is a good deal, and it’s a great opportunity to learn more about small wineries

I. Introduction

A. Understanding the Evolution of Nakedwines

Nakedwines is an online wine retailer that has revolutionized the way consumers interact with and purchase wine. The concept behind the company is to connect wine lovers directly with independent winemakers, cutting out the middleman and providing an opportunity for small-scale producers to showcase their craft. By eliminating the traditional distribution model, Nakedwines aims to provide high-quality wines at affordable prices while fostering a sense of community among wine enthusiasts.

B. About founder and CEO Rowan Gormley

Rowan Gormley, the mastermind behind Nakedwines, is a renowned figure in the wine industry. With extensive experience as the former CEO of Virgin Wines, Gormley brought his expertise and passion to create a unique platform for wine lovers. His vision was to disrupt the traditional wine industry and empower talented winemakers to focus on their craft rather than marketing and distribution.

C. NakedWines.com Groups

One of the standout aspects of Nakedwines.com is the concept of “Angel” investors. These angels are customers who invest a specified amount of money each month to support independent winemakers. In return, they gain access to exclusive wines at a discounted rate. This model creates a symbiotic relationship between consumers and winemakers, allowing the latter to receive financial backing while the former enjoy a curated selection of exceptional wines.

D. Overview of naked wines and products

Naked Wines offers an extensive range of wines sourced from all over the world. From classic reds to crisp whites and sparkling delights, their collection caters to a diverse range of palates. Each wine is carefully selected by the team at Naked Wines, ensuring that only the finest offerings make it to their inventory.

$100 voucher deal: my personal opinion

As a matter of fact, I would wager that most people end up on the website because of a suspiciously generous $100 voucher – I received mine inside the box of a Bloomingdale’s purchase. With the voucher I used, I was able to purchase a Discovery Case which contained 12 different bottles of wine from a wide range of offerings from the site. The case can also be purchased with the $100 voucher – which can also be obtained by clicking on the top right-hand button that says “voucher” and entering your email address – for $79.99, as opposed to its current sale price of $179.99 (its traditional price is $264). My colleague redeemed a $50 voucher for six bottles of wine for this promo – a bit of a variation depends on how many bottles are in the box.

It is possible to reduce the full voucher amount by $100 if you purchase 12 bottles.

In the year 2024, I have been given a special wine voucher that I am able to share with you in order to get $100 off 12 bottles of wine.  With the voucher, the price is reduced from $169 to only $69.99 (shipping is included in the price).

In my opinion, this is the best deal on their site and the perfect way to find out if you like what they have to offer.

II. How Naked Wines Works

To get started with Naked Wines, customers have the option to become an Angel or simply explore their vast selection as a regular customer. As an Angel, you commit to investing a certain amount each month, which is then used to support independent winemakers. In return, you gain access to exclusive wines at discounted prices. Regular customers, on the other hand, have the freedom to explore and purchase wines without any ongoing commitments. This flexibility makes Naked Wines a suitable choice for both wine enthusiasts and casual consumers alike.

III. Naked Wines Angel Perks

One of the major advantages of becoming a Naked Wines Angel is the exclusive perks that come with it. Angels receive a 25-50% discount on all wines, making it a cost-effective way to explore a wide range of high-quality offerings. Additionally, there are no membership fees or hidden charges associated with being an Angel. The website also offers free shipping on orders over a certain amount, making it even more enticing for wine lovers to join the community.

  • Depending on what you choose, the wines are decent. The problem is that you can only choose from those winemakers who are listed on the platform.
After a year, I realized I was always going back to the same wines due to the subscription type commitment, plus the site has a limited selection.
Recently, we reduced the amount we consume, so there was no point in keeping the account.
At some point in the future, I might go back, but for now I’m taking a break from drinking.
